Hi, thanks for stopping by

I’m Ruth.

I’ve spent more than three decades working in and alongside social-purpose organizations, in roles ranging from frontline worker to organizational leadership, and from entrepreneur to consultant and coach.

That range of perspectives has shaped how I work. I’ve seen organizational challenges from different vantage points and learned that the most impactful way forward is rarely found by applying the same approach. And often the insights needed to transform a situation are already present, it just requires the right conditions to surface and the right process to move it forward.

My work has taken me into organizations of all different sizes, stages, and purposes, in Canada and internationally. Along the way I’ve developed a knack for holding the complicated places: when there are competing perspectives, dynamic tensions, no obvious ‘right’ answer, or a gap between where people want to go and how to get there.

I tend to ask a lot of questions. I listen for what is being said, and what’s not. Whether I’m coaching one person or facilitating a room, I’m interested in helping people make sense of a complex situation, consider possibilities they may not have, and decide what makes sense for them.
