Coaching
I coach social purpose leaders - executive directors, CEOs, social entrepreneurs, leadership team members, and board members - who want to lead effectively, and authentically, through complexity while advancing meaningful impact.
Having a supportive and confidential sounding board with an experienced thinking partner who understands the realities of the social purpose sector can be invaluable.
I support my coaching clients to unpack complex issues and difficult decisions, voice concerns they can't share elsewhere, examine their own leadership habits, see possibilities, and craft meaningful actions to move priorities forward with clarity and confidence.
Most clients work with me over several months, or longer, but the length and frequency we determine together as you set the goals for the engagement. Together we identify the goals you want to work towards, what you want to be different as a result of coaching, and what would make the work meaningful and useful to you.
From there our conversations are shaped by what you bring to each session. I may challenge your thinking (in a supportive way), help you see a situation differently, ask questions you haven’t considered (or haven’t had the dedicated time to consider), or simply create space to think something through more deeply. We pay attention not only to the issue itself, but also to the patterns, assumptions, and ways of working that may be influencing it.
If this approach sounds like it might be what you need, please reach out for a complementary session and we can explore together if it is a fit.
Fit matters. An exploratory conversation gives us both a chance to consider whether my approach and style are right for what you need at this time. If they aren’t, I’m always happy to say so, and where possible, point you toward another coach who may be a better fit.

Consulting & Convening
I support organizations through processes of strategic planning, organizational change, developing leadership teams, and convening important, perhaps difficult, conversations. While leaders might seek me out to find answers or solutions to a tricky challenge, more often than not I bring more questions than answers. I’m a firm believer in the power of the right questions being a key to unlocking deep and meaningful change.
I bring a similar coaching approach to my consulting practice. I thrive on bringing out the wisdom in the room, helping people surface insights and create new pathways forward.
Types of projects I work on:
Designing and facilitating leadership and team retreats.
Strategic Planning.
Multi-partner project planning.
Facilitating team development sessions.
A tricky project or organizational change that needs a thinking partner and sounding board.
My Approach
I understand the nuances of running a not-for-profit, charity, or social enterprise that broader management consultants in the business sector often miss. I have experience in the social purpose sector with organizations of all sizes, stages, and social issue focus areas, in national and international contexts.
I don’t impose a pre-packaged process or arrive with a pre-determined answer. Together we determine your needs, and my role is to design the right process for the particular challenge and context, ask the questions that help people think differently, or listen to one another differently, and draw out the knowledge and perspectives already in the room.
